How to Clean Your Glass Pipe Like a Pro
A clean pipe doesn't just look better โ it tastes better, hits smoother, and is more hygienic. The good news? You don't need expensive specialised cleaners. Here's how to get your glass sparkling with supplies you probably already have at home.
What You'll Need
- Isopropyl alcohol (90% or higher)
- Coarse salt (rock salt or Epsom salt)
- Zip-lock bags or a container with lid
- Pipe cleaners or cotton buds
- Hot water
Step-by-Step Cleaning
First, rinse your pipe with warm water to loosen any debris. Then place it in a zip-lock bag and add enough isopropyl alcohol to fully submerge it. Add a generous tablespoon of coarse salt โ the salt acts as an abrasive to scrub the inside surfaces.
Seal the bag and shake vigorously for 2โ3 minutes. For stubborn buildup, let it soak for 30 minutes to an hour. After soaking, give it another good shake, then remove the pipe and rinse thoroughly with warm water.
Use pipe cleaners or cotton buds to clean any remaining residue from hard-to-reach areas. Let the pipe dry completely before using it again.
How Often Should You Clean?
For daily users, we recommend a deep clean once a week. Light users can get away with every 2โ3 weeks. A quick rinse with hot water after each session will help extend the time between deep cleans.
